Scott Watson brings three decades of school music teaching into his compositional work, having shaped instrumental programs across the Parkland School District in Allentown, Pennsylvania, before joining Cairn University as Associate Professor of Music. His catalog of more than 120 published works for concert band, string orchestra, and chamber ensembles reflects a composer equally steeped in contemporary classical music and the practical realities of rehearsal rooms.

Watson's pieces have reached international audiences and prestigious American venues including the Academy of Music in Philadelphia and the White House. As an exclusive composer for Alfred Publications and contributor to the Sound Innovations series, he designs music that challenges and engages student musicians at every level.
