Patti Drennan

Patti Drennan studied music education at Oklahoma State University and earned a graduate degree from the University of Oklahoma before spending 28 years directing choirs in Norman Public Schools. Her work at West Mid-High School earned her Teacher of the Year recognition, and her subsequent eight years at Norman High School produced four consistently superior-rated ensembles. The Oklahoma Choral Directors Association honored her with the Director of Distinction Award in 2004.

As a prolific composer and arranger, Drennan has placed over two million copies of her work with major publishers and maintains a catalog exceeding 425 choral octavos. She has clinicked in 19 states plus Canada multiple times, adjudicated choral festivals across the region, and directed composer weekends for churches nationwide. Since retiring from full-time teaching, she continues composing, leading music reading sessions, and performing collaboratively, including recording projects with her daughter.
