His work at Brisbane State High School reflects a career-long commitment to writing accessible, engaging repertoire for young string players. Sharp holds a Bachelor of Music and a Graduate Diploma in Further Education, credentials that inform both his teaching and his compositional voice.

Recognized nationally through AUSTA's State Award and locally through multiple educator honors, Sharp has established himself as a clinician and guest conductor at schools and music camps.
