About the Composer: Rossano Galante
Rossano Galante's career bridges two musical worlds: concert composition and film scoring. A Buffalo native and SUNY Buffalo trumpet graduate, he was selected in 1992 as one of just nineteen students worldwide for USC's prestigious Film Scoring Program, where he studied under the late Jerry Goldsmith. Since relocating to California in 1999, Galante has orchestrated over eighty studio films including Fast X, The Super Mario Brothers Movie, A Quiet Place, and Avengers: Age of Ultron while collaborating with Oscar-nominated composers Marco Beltrami and Christopher Lennertz.
Galante's concert music reflects the same cinematic sensibility that defines his film work. He maintains a prolific publishing presence across multiple major houses including Alfred, Schirmer, Hafabra, and Curnow, with over 68 published compositions to his name. His band and orchestra commissions arrive regularly from ensembles worldwide, cementing his reputation as a composer who understands the voice and capabilities of each ensemble he writes for.
