About the Arranger: Chris Sharp

Chris Sharp holds a doctorate and has built a career across performance, composition, and music education. As a trombonist, he spent eleven years as a full-time performing musician and band leader at Walt Disney World, and since 1984 has served as an arranger and orchestrator for Disney parks worldwide, creating music for live shows, recordings, and national broadcasts. His freelance work extends to Universal Studios, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the Boston Pops, the Dallas Brass, and military ensembles including the USAF Airmen of Note.

Sharp is active in music education and has taught at middle school, high school, and college levels. He currently serves as Director of Bands at Polk State College in Winter Haven, where he also teaches music theory, music technology, and arranging. His concert and jazz band compositions and arrangements have been performed widely, including multiple annual appearances at the Midwest Clinic, and he has received the ASCAPlus award multiple times. He has also served as a clinician, guest conductor, and adjudicator for organizations including Bands of America and Drum Corps International.
