Description
The BASSOON CONCERTO IN B-FLAT MAJOR, K. 191/186E, was composed in June 1774 by eighteen-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). It is widely believed to be the result of a commission by Thaddaeus Freiherr von Durnitz. Mozart went on to write four additional bassoon concerti, some of them likely at the amateur bassoonist's request. This single surviving work has become the most popular and frequently-performed concerto for the instrument. Instrumentation: 0.2.0.0: 2.0.0.0: Str (4.4.3.3.3 in set): Solo Bsn.
