Description
Franz Liszt's (1811-1886) CONCERT FANTASY ON SPANISH THEMES, S. 253 (GROSSE KONZERTFANTASIE ÜBER SPANISCHE WEISEN) was written in 1845, though it remained unpublished until 1887, a year after the composer's death. Less well known than the SPANISH RHAPSODY that followed, the work is also among Liszt's most challenging. Three Spanish melodies are used as the basis for this work: a fandango, the Jota aragonesa, and a cachuca. Reprinted edition.
