About the Composer: Dan Adams
Dan Adams spent nearly thirty years shaping young musicians as Band and Orchestra director in the Wooster City Schools, where he also served as Instrumental Music Coordinator. His career in music education began at Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington, Vermont, before he moved to Ohio to deepen his work in instrumental programs.
Adams holds a Bachelor of Music Education from The Ohio State University (trombone) and a Master of Music in Band Conducting from Northwestern University, where he studied under John Paynter. His contributions to the field extend across conducting, brass performance, and composition; his works have appeared at major festivals including The Midwest Band Clinic and Western International Band Clinic, earned repeated Pepper Editors' Choice recognition, and ranked in Bandworld's Top 100. He remains active in professional organizations including CBDNA, ASCAP, and the Ohio Music Education Association.
