About the Arranger: Mark Williams
Mark Williams shaped school music education across North America through his prolific output of accessible, engaging compositions and arrangements. With more than 200 published works and a teaching career rooted in elementary band programs throughout Washington state, he became known for writing music that young musicians could actually perform with confidence while still enjoying the experience.
Beyond the page, Williams was a clinician and guest conductor who brought his expertise to 34 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia. A skilled bassoon performer himself, he served as woodwind performer and arranger for the 560th Air Force Band and later led the Spokane British Brass Band as conductor and artistic director. His contributions earned recognition including the Western International Band Clinic's Gralia Competition and multiple ASCAP Special Awards.
