About the Arranger: Mark Williams

Mark Williams built his reputation as a prolific composer and arranger specifically for school ensembles, with over 200 published works across band, orchestra, and choir. He co-authored the Accent on Achievement Band Method and spent decades teaching elementary band in Washington state, where he developed a deep understanding of what young musicians could accomplish at each level.

Beyond the classroom, Williams was a sought-after clinician and guest conductor who worked across 34 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia. He earned recognition through competitions like the Western International Band Clinic's Gralia Competition and multiple ASCAP Special Awards. As a bassoon player and arranger for the 560th Air Force Band, and later as conductor of the Spokane British Brass Band, Williams brought performer's insight to every arrangement he created.
