About the Arranger: Mark Williams
Mark Williams built his reputation as a composer and arranger deeply committed to young musicians. With over 200 published works for band, orchestra, and choir, he shaped the sound of school ensembles across the country. Co-author of the Accent on Achievement Band Method, Williams brought pedagogical insight to every piece he wrote, understanding exactly what developing musicians needed to grow.
Williams spent much of his career in Washington state, where he taught elementary band and mentored countless student musicians. His work as clinician and guest conductor took him across 34 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia. Beyond composing, he performed on bassoon and served as conductor and artistic director for the Spokane British Brass Band, earning recognition through competitions including the Western International Band Clinic's Gralia Competition and multiple ASCAP Special Awards.
