About the Composer: Terry White
Terry White brings three decades of Maine classroom experience to his compositional work, having earned his B.M. in Composition from Berklee College of Music and his M.S. in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. His music has been commissioned by the Portland Symphony Orchestra and performed across high school and college ensembles throughout New England, while he continues to direct his own big band in the Portland area.
As the instrumental music teacher in the Cape Elizabeth School District, White writes from deep familiarity with what young musicians need to grow. His dual expertise in composition and pedagogy shapes every note he puts on the page.
