About the Composer: Robert Sheldon

Robert Sheldon stands among the most widely performed composers of wind band repertoire in the United States and internationally. His works appear regularly on state and national contest lists, have been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Sydney Opera House, and are championed by ensembles across the globe. He co-authored Sound Innovations for Concert Band and maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor for honor bands and clinician at universities and state music education conferences.

Sheldon's honors include recognition from the American School Band Directors Association, Phi Beta Mu, and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. He received an honorary doctorate from VanderCook College of Music in 2020. His prolific output includes numerous commissioned works, and he continues to conduct and teach internationally across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
