Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett taught concert and jazz band for 26 years at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, capping a 38-year career in music education. His work as a clinician, adjudicator, and composer has taken him across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, and he has contributed to major conferences including the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. Recognition came through six NBA Citations of Excellence and the Phi Beta Mu Bandmaster of the Year Award in 2015.

Beyond the classroom, Bubbett remains deeply invested in the music education community as a guest clinician, festival adjudicator, and active member of organizations including the National Band Association and Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity. His published works span multiple publishers, and he currently conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band, blending his longtime passion for ensemble music with ongoing mentorship.
