About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant
Tyler S. Grant has built a substantial reputation as a composer and arranger for wind bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles across all difficulty levels. His works appear regularly on state and regional honor ensemble programs, and his compositions are consistently selected for national and international repertoire lists. His piece Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 "Call for Fanfares" Competition and has since been performed by collegiate and professional ensembles throughout North America.
Beyond composing and arranging, Grant is an active clinician and conductor who has worked with over 100 school instrumental programs across more than 15 states, including clinician roles at The Midwest Clinic and all-state bands in multiple states. He earned his bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting with Professor Randall Coleman. Grant has contributed to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations: Ensemble Development series and regularly accepts commissions for new works each year.
