Celestials: Percussion Ensemble

For eight players. Each of the two movements here is named after a galaxy. In Altair, drum and mallet choirs combine in broad dynamic and color contrasts. In Capella, unison mallets make bold exchanges with the drums, while a beautiful melody from the synthesizer, bells, and vibes rises above the syncopated web. The work ends in a fury.
