Bob Lipton

Bob Lipton holds a B.M. in music education from San Francisco State University and has spent the past 19 years teaching middle school orchestra and band in Silicon Valley. His performance experience spans multiple ensembles and genres: he has played tuba with regional orchestras including San Jose, Oakland, Napa, Monterey, and Berkeley symphonies, performed with the SF 49ers band, and toured internationally with the Colombia Artists Bel Canto Brass.

Beyond his classroom work, Lipton has performed at the San Francisco and Frankfurt Jazz festivals and the Filmfare Awards in Mumbai, India. He regularly arranges music for brass quintet and has built a catalog of accessible, well-crafted arrangements for school orchestras and bands that honor the source material while meeting the needs of developing ensembles.
