About the Composer: Douglas E. Wagner

Douglas E. Wagner studied music at Butler University, where he earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees. A Chicago native, he spent three decades as a high school music director and administrator before committing fully to composition in the mid-1990s.

Since 1973, Wagner has published more than 3,500 compositions across every major ensemble type: concert band, orchestra, choir, handbell ensemble, organ, piano, and voice. His music has reached performing groups worldwide and appears regularly on concert programs and broadcasts. He currently lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Sandy.
