Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged over 450 works for singers of all ages, with particular strength in children's musicals and vocal pedagogy resources. His compositions appear regularly in school and community performances worldwide, and he has served as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for honor choirs and all-state ensembles across the Southeast and beyond. Beck holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master's degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University.

Beyond the page, Beck is an active tenor who directs musical theatre, sings with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, and has recorded as a studio vocalist for Alfred Music since 1992. His pedagogical resources, including Sing at First Sight and Vocalize!, reflect his deep commitment to music literacy and choral artistry. This philosophy shapes every musical decision in his catalog, making his work consistently accessible and rewarding for young singers and their directors.
