Patti Drennan

Patti Drennan's choral career spans both the classroom and the composer's desk. She held positions directing choirs in Norman Public Schools for 28 years, earning Teacher of the Year honors at West Mid-High School and establishing a track record of superior ratings at Norman High School. Her work earned her the Director of Distinction Award from the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association in 2004.

With more than 425 published octavos and two million copies in circulation, Drennan has become a prolific voice in American choral writing. Since leaving full-time teaching, she has remained active as a clinician, workshop presenter, and composer across 19 states and Canada. Her compositions have reached national stages, including a piece from "Sing for the Cure" performed at Carnegie Hall. She continues to write, arrange, lead music reading sessions, and direct composer weekends for churches throughout the United States and Canada.
