About the Composer: Vicki Tucker Courtney
Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano study at age four and pursued rigorous classical training throughout her education at North Texas State University, where she accompanied choral ensembles while completing her studies. This combination of keyboard foundation and choral exposure shaped a composing and arranging practice that now spans choirs, piano, handbells, and solo voice. She has received the ASCAP Plus Award multiple times and continues to write full time from her home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Courtney's mentorship under Dove Award-winning Mark Hayes in 2002 and 2004 accelerated her professional development. By 2009, she had published 100 titles; by 2017, over 350. Alongside her prolific composing career, she maintains an active studio teaching piano and composition to students across all levels and serves as organist and pianist for both traditional and contemporary worship services.
