About the Composer: Vicki Tucker Courtney
Vicki Tucker Courtney began her musical journey on piano at age four and went on to study extensively at North Texas State University, where she accompanied choral ensembles. Over the past two decades, she has built a prolific career as a composer and arranger, writing for choirs, piano, handbells, and solo voice across both sacred and secular contexts.
Courtney's work has earned her multiple ASCAP Plus Awards, and she was mentored by Dove Award winner Mark Hayes in 2002 and 2004. By 2009 she had published 100 titles; by 2017, that number had grown to over 350. She continues to compose full time, teaches piano and composition to students of all ages, and resides in Columbia, Tennessee.
