Vince Gassi has been publishing concert band works through Alfred Music since 2006, building a catalog of over 100 titles that balance accessibility with musical substance. His compositions and arrangements are staples on festival and contest circuits across North America, Europe, and Japan, earning him regular invitations as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and completed doctoral studies in composition at York University in Toronto.
Gassi brings twenty-five years of classroom experience to his writing, having taught instrumental music at elementary and secondary levels. His workshops on creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors reflect his commitment to practical, energetic music education. He studied composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles and continues to receive commissions from ensembles seeking music that challenges young players while remaining genuinely enjoyable to perform.
