About the Arranger: Mark Williams
Mark Williams built a distinguished career writing accessible, engaging band and orchestral music for school ensembles. His output exceeded 200 published works, and he co-authored the Accent on Achievement Band Method, establishing himself as a trusted voice in music education. Williams earned degrees in education from Eastern Washington University and performed as a woodwind specialist for the 560th Air Force Band while also serving as conductor and artistic director for the Spokane British Brass Band.
Throughout his career, Williams traveled extensively as a clinician and guest conductor across 34 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia, bringing his expertise directly to band programs nationwide. His compositions garnered recognition including the Western International Band Clinic's Gralia Competition and multiple ASCAP Special Awards. A champion of elementary band instruction, Williams demonstrated through both his teaching and his prolific output that young musicians benefit from music that is both musically substantial and appropriately scaled to their developing skills.
