About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has built a reputation as a versatile voice in contemporary band composition, with his works performed regularly by honor ensembles and featured on curated repertoire lists across North America. His composition Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 "Call for Fanfares" Competition and has since appeared on stages ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, establishing him as a composer whose music resonates with both developing and advanced ensembles.

Beyond the score, Grant actively shapes the next generation of musicians through conducting clinics and educational partnerships. A University of Alabama graduate who studied with Randall Coleman, he has worked with over 100 school programs across more than 15 states and served as a contributing author for Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series. His mentorship by composer Brian Balmages and his consistent output of new commissions since 2010 reflect a commitment to meeting the real needs of school music programs.
