About the Composer: Victor C. Johnson
Victor C. Johnson brings decades of choral leadership to his role as School Choral Editor for Sing!, the educational publishing arm of Choristers Guild. Based in Dallas, he has built an extraordinary catalog of over 500 published choral works, vocal solos, and keyboard pieces that serve musicians across the country.
From 2000 to 2018, Johnson shaped young musicians as choral director at Ft. Worth Academy of Fine Arts, where he led the Academy Singers and Academy Men's Choir while serving as Artistic Director for the Singing Girls of Texas and Children's Choir of Texas. He currently conducts the Dallas Symphony Children's Chorus Mixed Ensemble, the resident youth choir for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. His involvement with ACDA, the American Guild of Organists, TMEA, NAfME, and ASCAP reflects his commitment to the choral art across multiple musical communities.
