Victor C. Johnson

Victor C. Johnson brings decades of choral leadership to his compositions, having directed ensembles at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts from 2000 to 2018, where he shaped the Academy Singers, Academy Men's Choir, and served as Artistic Director for both the Singing Girls of Texas and Children's Choir of Texas. Today, as School Choral Editor for Sing! at Choristers Guild, he continues to shape choral music education while maintaining an extraordinary catalog of over 500 published works spanning choral settings, vocal solos, and keyboard collections.

Johnson's professional engagement spans the American Choral Directors Association, Texas Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education, and ASCAP. In 2022, he was appointed conductor of the Dallas Symphony Children's Chorus Mixed Ensemble, a resident choir for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra serving high school students.
