Joseph M. Martin studied piano performance at Furman University and earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he later taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department. A competition winner and recitalist who has performed with orchestras across the United States and Mexico, Martin redirected his considerable talents toward church music and composers' conferences, finding his voice in sacred and liturgical works.
His output spans concert halls from Carnegie to regional theaters, but his deepest impact comes through the hundreds of worship services where his compositions now resound each year. Living in Austin with his family, Martin continues to demonstrate the full range of his craft through both original works and arrangements that reveal a composer unafraid to surprise audiences with musical variety.
