Vince Gassi has built a prolific career spanning composition, conducting, and music education across North America. Since joining Alfred Music in 2006, he has published over 100 works that balance creative ambition with accessibility for young ensembles. His compositions appear regularly on contest and concert programs internationally, and his arranging work at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles informed the energetic, contemporary voice that defines his output.
For 25 years, Gassi has directed instrumental programs at the elementary and secondary levels while maintaining an active schedule as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician. His workshops on creative engagement and digital workflow strategies for music directors have shaped how educators approach repertoire selection and ensemble preparation. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and a Ph.D. from York University in Toronto, and his pieces have been recorded and performed across North America, Europe, and Japan.
