His Oscar-nominated, Grammy-nominated, and ten-time Emmy-winning scores include Silverado, Tombstone, The Rescuers Down Under, Miracle on 34th Street, the Homeward Bound films, and major television themes for The Orville, JAG, and Tiny Toon Adventures, along with work on Texas Rising, Warm Springs, and countless episodic series.

Beyond screen work, Broughton has established himself as a concert composer whose orchestral and chamber works are performed by major ensembles including the Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, and Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
