It is reported that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart displayed his genius at a very early age, with his first compositions appearing at about age 5. This charming work was originally written for solo keyboard at age 6. Mozart was influenced by the pieces his sister played on keyboard, and his early music demonstrated a strong north German influence. Because they were notated by Mozart's father, we can only assume what amount is the young man's work. ALLEGRO is a marvelous vehicle to introduce this compositional era to your youngest ensemble.
