About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has built a reputation as a composer whose works appear regularly on all-state and honor ensemble programs across North America. His output spans concert bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles, with pieces consistently selected for regional, national, and international festivals. His composition Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 Call for Fanfares Competition and has since been championed by collegiate and professional ensembles throughout the continent.

Since 2010, Grant has maintained a steady stream of commissions and new publications while also serving as a clinician with over 100 school programs across more than 15 states. He has conducted at The Midwest Clinic and all-state bands in Nebraska, Oregon, Alabama, Louisiana, South Dakota, and North Dakota. His work has been heard at Carnegie Hall, Music for All's National Concert Band Festival, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Grant studied instrumental music education and conducting at the University of Alabama under Professor Randall Coleman, and credits composer Brian Balmages as essential to his development as a writer.
