About the Arranger: Joseph M. Martin
Joseph M. Martin trained in piano performance at Furman University and later earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he subsequently taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department for five years. His career has spanned both the concert hall and the church, with solo recital performances across the United States and Mexico, including a national broadcast from Mexico City and appearances with major orchestras. He won the Nina Plant Wideman Competition and performed as a featured artist with the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra.
Today Martin channels his considerable compositional and arranging talents primarily toward church music and conferences serving musicians in worship settings. His works have been performed in spaces ranging from Carnegie Hall to regional theaters to countless sanctuaries across North America. Based in Austin, Texas, he continues to compose and arrange with the same stylistic range and craftsmanship that has earned him recognition across multiple musical contexts.
