Kirby Shaw

Kirby Shaw has established himself as one of the most prolific arrangers in choral music, with over 2500 compositions and arrangements performed globally and totaling nearly 20 million copies sold. His formal training spans Music Education and Choral Composition from San Jose State University, plus a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington. Beyond his work as a composer and arranger, Shaw has maintained an active conducting career, founding and directing acclaimed vocal jazz ensembles at the College of the Siskiyous, Colorado State University, the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and currently at Southern Oregon University's Jefferson State Choral Coalition.

Shaw's creative reach extends across five decades and multiple continents, with teaching residencies in 45 states and seven countries. He has studied jazz vocal techniques directly with artists including Bobby McFerrin, Mark Murphy, Al Jarreau, and Jon Hendricks.
