Victor C. Johnson

Victor C. Johnson has spent his career building choral programs across Texas, directing at Ft. Worth Academy of Fine Arts from 2000 to 2018 where he led multiple ensembles including the Academy Singers and Academy Men's Choir. His work with young singers extended to the Singing Girls of Texas and Children's Choir of Texas, where he served as Artistic Director. In August 2022, he became conductor of the Dallas Symphony Children's Chorus Mixed Ensemble for grades 9-12, the official resident children's choir of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

As School Choral Editor for Sing! (Choristers Guild's educational publishing arm), Johnson oversees materials specifically designed for school choirs. His compositional output spans over 500 works across choral settings, vocal solos, and keyboard collections. Johnson holds memberships in the American Choral Directors Association, American Guild of Organists, Texas Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education, Texas Choral Directors Association, ASCAP, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
