About the Composer: Kathleen Massoud

Kathleen Massoud

Kathleen Massoud studied piano performance at Hartt College of Music in Hartford, Connecticut and later at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She founded the Massoud Piano Studio in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1980 and has maintained an independent teaching practice for more than two decades. An active member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, she previously served as president of the Southeastern Chapter of the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association.

Beyond the studio, Massoud pursues creative work in multiple forms. She sings with her church choir, contributes to her faith community through volunteer service, and writes poetry. She lives in Massachusetts with her family.
