About the Arranger: Jack Zaino
Jack Zaino brings deep roots in New England choral music to his work as a choral editor, clinician, and author at Alfred Music. His background spans middle school music instruction in Connecticut public schools, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut, and dual undergraduate degrees in Voice and Music Education from UConn. He was a founding member of the UConn Chamber Singers and remains active in the Connecticut choral community.
Zaino's arranging practice centers on finding artistry within contemporary styles. His published arrangements feature work by Kacey Musgraves, Dan + Shay, and Lizzo, demonstrating his ability to honor popular music while crafting singable, rewarding choral writing. Connecticut ACDA recognized him as Young Choral Director of the Year in 2020. He currently serves as composition chair for the Connecticut ACDA repertoire and resources committee and sits on the programming committee for Consonare Choral Community, an organization dedicated to building connections through singing.
