About the Arranger: Jack Zaino
Jack Zaino is an accomplished choral musician and educator based in New England with deep roots in Connecticut's music community. He earned both a B.A. in Voice and a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Connecticut, followed by a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the same institution. His teaching experience includes middle school music in the Connecticut public school system, and he continues to contribute as a performer and advocate for choral music throughout the state.
As a choral editor and arranger at Alfred Music, Zaino has built a reputation for finding musical integrity in contemporary and popular styles. His published arrangements showcase artists spanning multiple genres, from Kacey Musgraves to Lizzo, demonstrating his ability to honor original artistic vision while creating singable, engaging choral literature. In recognition of his contributions to the field, Connecticut ACDA named him Young Choral Director of the Year in 2020. He currently serves as composition chair on the Connecticut ACDA repertoire and resources committee and on the programming committee for Consonare Choral Community, an organization dedicated to building community through singing.
