About the Arranger: Brian Balmages

Brian Balmages has established himself as a composer and conductor across orchestral, band, and chamber music with an impressive roster of performances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Sydney Opera House, and the Toronto Centre for the Arts. His accolades include the A. Austin Harding Award from the American School Band Directors Association, the 2020 NBA William D. Revelli Composition Contest for Love and Light, and membership in the American Bandmasters Association.

Balmages holds degrees from James Madison University and the University of Miami, institutions that have both honored his contributions to music. He has conducted all-state ensembles, university orchestras, and professional groups worldwide, and his music was performed at the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Prayer Service. Currently, he directs MakeMusic Publications and Digital Education for Alfred and MakeMusic.
