Patti Drennan

Patti Drennan's 28 years directing choral programs across Norman Public Schools shaped her instincts for what voices need to sing. She earned degrees in music education from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma, then spent two decades at West Mid-High School before moving to Norman High School, where her four choirs consistently earned superior ratings. Her dedication to the classroom earned her the Director of Distinction Award from the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association in 2004.

Since retiring from full-time teaching, Drennan has become one of the most prolific voices in American choral publishing, with over 425 octavos in print and more than two million copies sold. She has led workshops and clinics across 19 states, Canada, and major conferences, while maintaining an active schedule as a composer, arranger, and guest director at church workshops nationwide. Her work has reached Carnegie Hall, and she continues to balance her creative output with performance and recording projects alongside her daughter, a musical theater performer in New York.
