Heidi Hickox-Gordon
Heidi Hickox-Gordon holds a degree in Music: Vocal Performance from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and postgraduate certifications in Music Education from East Carolina University and Westminster Choir College. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Music Education through Liberty University.
In addition to her role as Artistic Director of the North Mecklenburg Community Chorus, Heidi is the Director of Choirs at William A. Hough High School where she leads beginning through advanced level choruses, including Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, the Treblemakers (Women’s A Cappella/Vocal Jazz) and the Howlin’ Huskies Show Choir. Heidi has directed numerous K-12 school musical productions and choral groups and has served as an adjudicator for various North Carolina arts-related contests and competitions.
In 2016, Heidi was selected as NCASA Coach of the Year specifically for her leadership with the “Howlin’ Huskies" and has taught vocal music, piano, and guitar in the Charlotte area for the past 25 years. She has also been featured as assistant director, choreographer, and vocal soloist with the Carolina Voices and their vocal jazz group, Impromptu!
