Enrique Lacárcel

Enrique Lacárcel (Granada, Spain, 1984) has a degree in musicology from the University of Granada, a Master of Music from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. and a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Jaén. He is also the 2022 recipient of the Manuel de Falla award for Musical Creation. His music has been performed and recorded all around Europe and America by important names such as Carlos Álvarez and Michael Thomas. After developing a career as a professional choir singer, he currently combines his permanent teaching work with composition and musical interpretation. He is the author of two novels: the historical "Un Requiem para Beethoven" and the juvenile fantasy "El Reino de Arieno.”
