Composer Spotlight
Paul Baker works across jazz, film, TV, and Broadway, bringing that screen and stage experience to his ensemble writing. He's performed at the Village Vanguard and led clinics across Europe, and his arrangements for jazz bands of all sizes appear in this collection including Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Kris Berg directs jazz studies at Collin County Community College and has sent ensembles to Montroux under his leadership. He founded both the Collin Jazz Fest and the Texas All-Star Jazz Camp, and his charts circulate globally. His work Soul Chicken appears here.
Peter Blair taught music education for 12 years across grade levels and brings that classroom perspective to his compositions and arrangements. He has over 70 pieces in print for college through middle school groups, including Flight of the Foo Birds in this collection.
